Roy's People

“As an artist I like to explore a miniature world from the viewpoint of a person that is 2cm tall. As a person I like to explore the world,” —Roy's People

Artist, Roy’s People specializes in creating witty and intriguing imagery using custom miniature figures. Through his art, he crafts a unique perspective, exploring miniature worlds from the viewpoint of a person 2cm tall.

Roy Tyson, the individual behind Roy’s People, transforms iconic pieces of fine art into distinctive narratives that amuse, delight, and inspire. His collectible installations bring images traditionally found on gallery walls into the outside world, treating them with a street art perspective.

In the acclaimed "Scrubbed Out" series, Roy’s miniature custom-made figures climb onto hand-made scaffolding and navigate famous images, methodically erasing them. This thought-provoking series invites viewers to contemplate the complex question of permanence in art and consider what deserves to stay and what should be 'scrubbed out.'

Roy began photographing his miniature world on the streets of London in 2012, later expanding into installations and securing corporate commissions for brands such as Apple, Ted Baker, and The Royal Mint. His exhibitions have spanned various cities worldwide, including London, New York, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Miami, and Paris. Notable collectors of his work include actor Emilia Clarke and comedian Greg Davies.

As an artist and a person, Roy Tyson enjoys exploring the world in both creative and everyday dimensions.
