Sylvain Tremblay

International artist Sylvain Tremblay is renowned for his mastery of texture and sculpture in painting, in which he infuses his works with the essence of nature and humanity.

His unique technique produces captivating and expressive paintings that evoke the very essence of nature and humanity.

Sylvain Tremblay, born in 1966 in Quebec City, initially pursued a career in graphic design and illustration, before transitioning to becoming a full-time painter. His history with design and illustration can be seen through his streamlined compositions that play against abstract color planes. Inspired by the works of Alberto Giacometti, the forms are roughly sketched and elongated. His paintings, although created on canvas, are seen by Tremblay as something closer to sculpture, shaped with the idea of weathering by time and natural elements to express the human condition in an industrialized, urban context.

Tremblay's works have been exhibited in galleries worldwide and are prized by many art collectors. Despite others imitating his unique style, Tremblay continues to push the boundaries of his art, infusing his work with deeper meaning and passion.

In addition to his gallery exhibitions, Tremblay has been involved in live painting projects, including a notable project in 2014 where he created a large fresco in the Dubai desert, celebrating the local community and traditions of the United Arab Emirates. He has also made contributions to international events such as representing Canada at the G20 in China in 2016 and participating in the "Personal Structure" exhibition at the Venice Biennale of Art in 2017. Tremblay's works have been featured in prestigious events, including the opening of the Canada Pavilion for the 2020 World Expo in Dubai and the UNESCO Mask Art exhibition in May 2020, celebrating World Day of Cultural Diversity.
