Judas Arrieta is one of the most recognized Spanish artist of his generation. He grew up with Manga, Anime, Kung-fu videos and other Asian popular culture, that are the main sources of his work. His work is included in numerous Spanish public collections and has been widely exhibited in Europe and Asia.
His pieces are collected by museums, enterprises and banks, like Guggenheim Bilbao museum, Asia House of Barcelona, the Spanish embassy in Japan, Caja Madrid and others. They are also widely shown around the world, in countries such as Spain, USA, Finland, Japan, Korea and China. He won a few important art prizes, including the International Young Artist Contest of Spain (Cajamadrid “Generación 2006”) held by Madrid Bank in 2006.
He also does TV programs and conferences about the relationship of contemporary art and popular cultures, manga, anime and Asian cultures.
