Eric Alfaro is a Cuban artist based in the United States whose paintings have been exhibited in America and Europe. He describes his current artist expression as having been influenced by the great painters of different periods in history. Working in different styles, hyperrealism is present in a large portion of his compositions. Alfaro’s figurative as well as abstract pieces are created using oils on canvas. Since the end of 2021, Eric Alfaro has worked closely with Carousel Fine Art to release the KOI Series which has been showcased in several art fairs and galleries in Miami, Palm-Beach & Saint-Tropez.
“To create my work I usually use photographic references, I always change elements to the photography, inserting other images and colors until I achieve a sketch that is useful for me to start working on a painting. I have series of paintings that are with acrylics and others with oil, I use brushes and I really like wide brushes also to make painting effects, I use spatulas to make textures.”
